Movie Info

This TV miniseries concerns a Southern village where the murder of a boy has puzzled three different police chiefs since the 1920s. By the time that a black sheriff (Billy Dee Williams) takes over in 1962, he might have just enough evidence to find the culprit.

Critic Reviews for Chiefs

It seems American drama tends to veer between simplistic morality tales like this where the good guys eventually triumph, and nihilistic tales where evil triumphs. I prefer dramas which lie in between these two extremes.

Audience Reviews for Chiefs

One of the best, brightest, well acted, well written and most atmospheric things i ever saw on television. The locations are amazing, performances fantastic, writing unbelievably good and music stunning. 'Chiefs' is a fantastic (hidden) delight in the television industry.
