This weird little slice of vampire movies is definitely not your average bloodfest. It's odd and dreamlike and one of my favorite films I've seen so far this year. So give it a shot!

...resurrects a by-gone (yet evidently undead) era with dazzling production and costume design, beautiful soft lensing and the odd crash zoom... all at once a 'women's picture' and a wilfully strange retro trip into a damaged mind.

I'm not gonna lie, folks. Climate of the Hunter is weird. And so unlike anything I typically watch. And yet. And yet. I found it incredibly watchable and could not hit stop.

It's a film dripping in sensuously mysterious atmosphere, but instead of drowning its characters in absurdity like an overdressed salad, it uses its director's bizarre proclivities as a garnish to a relatable, more readily consumable story.
