Decent, but not great. It tried to be clever, but something was missing.

Not a bad little movie, always wants to be more than it actually is... you know from pretty much early on what where and how it will work out in the end, but still its ok. My only real gripe is with these movies that have a running time of 80mins or so... take away beginning and end credits and you're left with a movie of about 70-75 minutes...

This is a terrible movie that tries to be many things and fails at every one of them.

not surprised everyone in this was free to make it.

This movie really kept my attention full time. There is an air of suspense throughout the entire movie, which ends with some very rich comedy. The movie is not a comedy however, but a mystery, and danger, and psychological problems with the main character. If you love great mysteries you will like this movie. No sex or bad language for a change. KUDOS to the movie makers for that !

In "Columbus Circle," Hilary Lonnigan(Bette Beatrice) is dead, having apparently fallen down a flight of stairs in her luxury apartment. Except New York City Police Detective Frank Giardello(Giovanni Ribisi) isn't so sure, suspecting foul play. However, he finds no help either way from her neighbor Abigail Clayton(Selma Blair) who only interacts with Klandermann(Kevin Pollak, who wrote the script with director George Gallo), the friendly concierge, in the building. Abigail has also had her eye on the other apartment for quite a while and is therefore distressed when Lillian(Amy Smart) and Charles(Jason Lee) take possession of it.

"Columbus Circle" is so old school that it actually has an opening title sequence and a character who writes letters while reminding me greatly of classic psychological thrillers starring Olivia de Havilland. As far as the present day goes, Selma Blair is a pretty good replacement with her side long glances while Giovanni Ribisi proves that he can play a normal character(who probably still has some literal skeletons in his closet) for a change. But with any lazy homage to old movies, the story turns out to be very predictable with more than its share of plot holes.(Who cleans Abigail's apartment, by the way?) While I agree there is no such thing as a criminal mastermind, it would be nice to see some professional pride from a movie's villains. So, as you can see, there is a lot of sludge to get through before the movie's dandy kicker of an ending.

good thriller movie! nice story!

Worth watching. Selma Blair does a credible job and salvages what could have been an unwatchable movie.

What starts out as an interesting story full of mystery and suspense soon takes one too many worng turns. The writers tip their hand prematurely, and the subsequent killing off of characters smacks of a desperate attempt to salvage what's left of the plot- thus painting the story into a corner from which it cannot escape. It's a shame to see Selma Blair's character- so fully developed and mysterious- be wasted due to poor wiriting. She is one of the best parts of this film. Same goes for Ribisi and Pollak.

As a fan of Blair, Ribisi, Smart, and Lee, it was a real treat. Plenty of twists.

One of those undiscovered little gems that offers twist after twist. If you go along for the ride you'll follow a twisting storyline that begins to unravel with each death. Each death puts the remaining characters in another tight spot. Good for a quick time filler if you are chasing something interesting.

Charles Ponzi... again... (Lisbeth Salander is still the best though)

This cast is fantastic. That is the reason I had to scope it out. The story feels a bit small and self indulgent, but the leads really do shine... and manage to play against type to great surprise. Toss these names a more deserving script and you have a winner.

We figured it out pretty quickly but have to say.... Loved the ending.

An almost interesting thriller with unnecessary twist.

Really entertaining thriller. Great cast and a decent plot.

This was a great Netflix find! You didn't really know what to expect at any turn. I only remember Selma Blair as the stuck up preppy gf in Legally Blonde. Her acting was good in this, and an odd surprise with a bit part was Benson. Even the dude from My Name is Earl was in it but he was good. I liked the storyline and it was my kinda "thriller".

The movie has a surprisingly good and famous cast to fly so under the radar. The movie is actually not a bad plot, though the direction isn't the best and the ending gets greedy in trying to be clever and instead creates a incredibly implausible scenario.
