...the plotless atmosphere becomes oppressive almost immediately.
Strange but compelling, with Val Kilmer in top form, this oblique and slightly garbled story holds our interest with a combination of its elements.
Audience Reviews for Columbus Day
very slow all the way, & not exciting at the end.

When a man pulls off a big heist he believes this will finally be his last job and he can turn his back on a life of crime forever but first he must make it threw the day waiting in a city park for a exchange along the way he forms a unlikely bond with a young kid who trys to help this criminal change his life for the betterwhich includes getting back with his ex wife and trying hard to reconnect with a daughter who wants nothing to do with him. Starring Val Kilmer this one would be one of the better movies he has done in the last few years but dont expect much action or excitement this a character peice of a movie and spends most if not all of the time shot in one location.

Not terrible, but not great either. Valderrama has an interesting role, and Kilmer and Thompson have pretty good chemistry, but other than that, this film needs a lot of retooling in order for it to be better.
