Movie Info

The name of artist Robert Crumb may not be a household word, but some of his creations are modern icons. Everyone recognizes Fritz the Cat and Mr. Natural, along with his admonition to "Keep on Truckin'." Crumb made this documentary with his wife Aline Crumb to overcome his anonymity. Through a series of tongue-in-cheek skits and interviews, Robert Crumb presents himself as someone who should not be overlooked or forgotten.

Not much more than a puff piece, but with R. Crumb as the subject, that's an awfully fun piece of puff.

Audience Reviews for The Confessions of Robert Crumb

Not as insane as I expected it to be, but, nonetheless interesting in it's own oddball way; ...reminiscent of Crumb and Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, it makes me wonder who in this movie perceives reality as it is & who perceives it as they want, fear, or dare to. And the same goes for the ppl who would watch/do watch this movie, especially for the ppl who don't see this movie's purpose & therefore didn't/wouldn't enjoy it.

[img][/img] I knew after viewing the film "Crumb" that nothing else regarding this subject would ever compare to it. I was not wrong. As much as Robert Crumb was in this film, there was so much of him left out of it, but that is because of the date of it. So this was my mistake watching this film, not the film maker's fault, all mine. Still, I enjoyed seeing Crumb as Crumb. Before France. And before Charles died.
