Audience Reviews for Copper Mountain: A Club Med Experience
Cut the crappy last half of the movie which is basiclly just a bunch of music videos and you have at least a 3 star movie. The Jim Carrey storyline was a bit interesting but half way to the end it was dropped to make room for 5 songs that take up the last half hour. Jim Carrey shows sparks of superstardom but the director misses that and focuses on a couple of singers that no one has heard of.
Why did Jim Carrey and Alan Thicke go on a ski vacation together and then film it for TV? This movie doesn't answer that question, it only makes you ask that when you see it. This movie isn't worth anyone's time.
Jim Carrey's first is his worst! I think it was mainly the fault of the director and writer probably. This movie has three things going on at once, none of which the audience particularly cares about because there's pretty much no story. There's some ski race involving Alan Thicke, who thinks he can beat the old champ just because he's out of shape. There's some bands singing at the resort. And then there's Carrey doing funny impressions of famous people to impress some chicks. That's all that's going on in this one hour movie. I got bored with it and didn't watch the end, but at least Carrey is slightly funny.
