When the film features a steel cage brawl between Li and a gaggle of Ultimate Fighting Champions, an ATV chase with DMX, and a kick-ass girlfight between Kelly Hu and Gabrielle Union, enduring the dreck is a relatively small price to pay.

You'll have to check your brain at the door, but as long as you remember to pick it up on the way out, you should be fine.

Unlike many films of this genre, it has a plot that makes sense and it has characters that are least defined, if not developed.

A fast-paced, big action hip-hop kung fu thriller, Cradle 2 The Grave stretches the boundaries of the genre with an engaging combo of Jet Li magic, a smart, funny script and spectacular stunts.

Cradle 2 the Grave is a contemporary Hollywood B-movie and the most shamelessly excessive buddy action picture since The Last Boy Scout.

It doesn't matter if "Cradle 2 the Grave" offers very little in the form of an engaging story. The daredevil sequences, with the ultra-cool Jet Li at the helm, is a wild trip anyway.

In Cradle 2 the Grave, producer Joel Silver returns with gusto to the mix of martial arts action and urban attitude that proved so potent in Romeo Must Die.

Cradle 2 The Grave is 2 ridiculous 2 B believed. And that's perfectly okay.

The usual bang, boom, crunch and screech, though maybe a little more stylishly executed than most.

It's not great movie-making but it's slick, confident and effective.

The film is filled with astonishing set pieces that violate the laws of nature but are exciting, nonetheless.

This is a ride, a video game, a soundtrack -- unapologetic and clearly labeled as such. It has no middle speed.
