Movie Info

Two men looking to make some fast money unknowingly put themselves in grave danger in this intelligent thriller from director Ivan Cherkelov. Since the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the collapse of communism, Bulgaria has become an entrepreneurial state, but not everyone has comfortably adapted to the new ways of doing things. Doka (Filip Avramov) and Bonza (Valeri Yordanov) are two guys who have been left behind in the new era of prosperity, well-meaning louts who don't have a hustler's instincts and work whatever odd jobs they can find to keep their heads above water. Doka and Bonza think they've hit upon some good luck when they're both offered work by gangsters -- one is to drive a van from Sinistra to Sofia, while the other is to travel the same route by train. What they don't know is that each has been hired by ruthless men working for representatives of a different corporate power broker, and that their secret plans could leave both Doka and Bonza dead. Raci (aka Crayfish) was an official selection at the 2009 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
