John M @RT88047279 5h Crust was superb entertainment. Very fun, scary, emotional, over-the-top, and has a great heart. A story of a man all but forgotten in a crazy world, and found again in the most unlikely setting. Loved all of the acting involved ...Sean Whalen did an amazing job as director AND actor! (I really hope there is a sequel) See more Robert J @RT09369453 7h This movie is compelling throughout its entirety with a blend of dark humor and a unique plot line that keeps your emotions wandering throughout. The characters and writing were great! The movie left me thinking about the core of human nature, the fears, and trust that we all experience in relationships. The black and white aesthetic was perfect and gave it a Bergman/Fellini like feel during a lot of the sequences which I thoroughly enjoyed. I truly connected with the film and I am very glad I watched it! Great movie! See more Aunty S @RT12037676 2d In the crazy world we live in nothing seems to make sense anymore. SO, I watch movies, A lot of movies are simply a distraction, and some are simply hilarious and make life a little better all around. (Looking at YOU Evil Sublet). But some films are even better than that- they prove to be heartwarming, horrifying, hilarious, humbling, and HUGE in our house. (All the alliteration I can muster.) CRUST by Sean Whalen is more than just an amuse bouche to your movie weekend- it is a cult classic hidden in a black and white prom dress. It is a dance with Carol Burnett, and a poetry reading by Bela Lugosi. Sean is multifaceted in the purest sense- in one moment you fear his world, and in the next you are cheering his love story. You will never look at dirty socks the same way again. THAT I know for sure. See more Samantha N @RT79506331 6d Crust was a splendid surprise. Shot in black and white, it has a retro feel that brings back feelings of watching old camp horror movies as a kid just getting into horror. Sean Whalen did an amazing job balancing absurd humor with heartfelt themes. The creature in Crust was bizarre, creepy, and gross but adorable and endearing as well. Made up of everything Sean's character, Vegas Winters, keeps buried under the surface, the creature becomes endearing in a way. The supporting cast really helps ground the story and weave together Sean's storytelling perfectly. What makes Crust stand out is it's ability to bring up feelings of uneasiness, amusement, and nostalgia while also being an entertaining horror-comedy. Crust is bound to become the kind cult classic that true horror fans love See more Doug P. @palumbo86 Mar 18 I absolutely loved this movie it was a simple but yet keep you on the edge of your seat movie with a little bit of violence, sexual content and suspense it’s definitely a must watch!! See more Presley M. @ZombieGirl916 Mar 18 Crust is so much fun! Sean Whalens directorial debut and he absolutely shines! Quirky, funny and the ending leaves it open to a sequel. Here's hoping we get one! See more Read all reviews
