Audience Reviews for Dangerous Worry Dolls
Dangerous Worry Dolls is a delightfully demented horror film about a woman locked up in prison who receives worry dolls from her daughter that turn out to be evil, but they help her get back at the people who have abused her in prison. It's a twisted, gruesome, surprising, and fun little horror film that I think is quite underrated. If you enjoyed the Puppet Master films, you will probably like this film because it is from the same studio and made by the creator of that series. It's pure fun to watch.
It's a bad movie about bad people doing bad things. It's rather unconformable to watch. Although the story isn't too bad, it's a bit dull at some points and rather disturbing. There's a lot of plot holes and the credits run extra slow.
Dangerous Worry Dolls is the Charles Band-directed Full Moon film about a women's Detention Center (for hot women only apparently) where the weak are bullied and beat up by the tough, thug supermodel criminals, not to mention harassed by the tough warden and raped in porno films made by the guards. Boy, life is tough! Things get interesting when the lead heroine's daughter brings her mommy some worry dolls which make your worries go away if you pray to them before you go to bed and put them under your pillow. Soon, one of the little buggers gets inside the chick's head and then she starts dishing out some revenge. When weighed against other Full Moon films, this one isn't all that great, BUT it wound up being better than I though, with some interesting (and somewhat original) scenes. The acting is godawful, but that was to be expected. Overall, not too bad. Definitely an amusing time-killer.
