It's not bad so much as it is disposable and forgettable.

Convincing in the physical demands of the role, Affleck persuades us of the pain of sightlessness and supersensitive hearing, although writer/director Johnson's scrappy construction fails him and everyone else as the showdown approaches.

The shame of this mess of a movie is that it could have been quite good.

This is the type of movie that Hollywood loves to make. No story, an inane script, no acting, people fly, loud noises, absurd special effects, lots of gratuitous violence.

Daredevil isn’t a masterpiece, but ... it’s worth a trip to the local multi-plex.

Daredevil is not as sophisticated as X Men but is infinitely better than the bloated and overwrought Spiderman.

Ben Affleck as a superhero: isn't this inherently ill-conceived?

Writer-director Mark Steven Johnson was an unlikely choice for a big-budget superhero feature like Daredevil," but he proved perfect for the job.
