Movie Info

For over a half-a-century a deadly curse has lain dormant in a quiet Tennessee crop, and when a group of unsuspecting teens make the deadly mistake of traveling to a nearby cabin, the hour of the Scarecrow draws near in this rural shocker from director Ben Dixon. It was supposed to be a relaxing weekend getaway, but the harvest has risen, and with it the deadly entity that can't be satisfied until it has tasted human blood. By the time the morning sun rises and the cock crows, the trail of the dead will lead anyone who has ever doubted the myth of the scarecrow to look to the cornfields with now hunger, but unrelenting fear and paralyzing trepidation.

Audience Reviews for Dark Harvest 3: Scarecrow

I appreciate hokey horror films and have a great respect for independent filmmakers, but this movie should never have been made. It was crap from beginning to end. The story was poorly written and acted, the production was full of continuity problems and the sound was similar to the worst public access show you've ever heard. There was no suspense nor character (or scarecrow) sympathy and the director opted to focus on the cheesy gore so long that the viewer had the opportunity to make a detailed assessment and scream "fake!" The entire cast and production crew would do well to view the original "Dark Harvest" to see how a bad horror movie can be entertaining. Luckily this piece of crap was on dvd so that I could fast forward through the idiocy. Unfortunately, that would be the entire movie.

After watchin this movie the words that came to mind was "PURE GOLD". The acting is supreme and the effect spectacular. I would recommend this movie to anyone in the mood for an academy award style movie. loved it.
