Sean L. McCarthy Decider Dec 23
For all of the humor and humanity he displays both in his closer as well as the end credits, there’s unfortunately a half-hour full of unnecessary cruelty and juvenile jabs masquerading as jokes to sit through first. Go to Full Review

Jonathan H @Geo.jon268 5d The one joke that had me laughing hardest was the pee in your mouth joke. Everything else is just tired, recycled, things are bad cause white people identity politics, and no one else is responsible. I dont like what going on either but this rhetoric is i think how we ended up here in the first place. I was really excited, surprised there was a new special, and was really looking forward to what Dave had to say on the Saudi shows and USA current affairs, and left feeling like he just another complaining rich dude who alienated half his audience, including people who dont like or even voted for Trump. Just f*** out of here with the soap box bro. See more Roan T @Milo2 6d Unfunny and honestly boring. Used to really like chappelle See more Rushdi I @Rushinz88888888 6d Dave Chappelle’s The Unstoppable on Netflix is the kind of stand-up that doesn’t just land jokes—it rearranges your brain and dares you to notice. I loved it. Like leaned-back-on-the-couch, laughing-then-pausing-to-think, "did he really just say that?" loved it. Chappelle isn’t chasing punchlines; he’s stalking ideas, circling them slowly, then pouncing with razor-sharp timing that proves why he’s in a league of his own. What makes The Unstoppable hit so hard is how relaxed yet fearless it feels. Dave talks like someone who knows exactly what he’s doing and doesn’t need permission. The jokes are bold, the observations uncomfortably honest, and the silences are just as funny as the laughs. I laughed, winced, and walked away thinking—which is the ultimate Chappelle effect. See more Mel E @Dandelionrootss Jan 24 I used to love Dave chapelle and I get that everything can be fair game for jokes but in a time when trans people are already targeted and ostracized, I had to stop watching this because it’s really just not funny. I don’t think I can watch him anymore. See more Alex C @sugarcookie Jan 19 some laughs, but it just wasn't as good. i feel like the capitalism joke would've been funny if well..... people weren't going homeless and hungry, you know? See more Ben N @Bneffer Jan 19 Chappelle's latest sounds like the cigs he smokes are definitely affecting his world outlook (paranoia joke, there). His take is more political, less funny, and trying to make points. I found it hit the mark less often than his old show did, unfortunately. I enjoyed this, and laughed out loud a few times, but that is a miss when compared to his historically fantastic comedy, for me. See more Read all reviews
