Movie Info

A gang of not-so-Wild Ones hit the highway on a big adventure in this witty and revealing documentary from filmmaker Michael Noer. "De Vilde Hjerter" ("The Wild Hearts") are twelve buddies from Denmark who have formed something like a post-modern biker club, only instead of Harley-Davidsons they take to the road riding vintage mopeds. Though an air of willful silliness hovers over their outings, the Wild Hearts are close friends who aren't ashamed to express their feelings for one another, and over the course of a 1,300 kilometer trip to Poland, all sorts of deep feelings and life lessons are shared by the young men. That's not to say, however, that they don't spend plenty of time getting sloppy drunk, pulling crazy pranks on one another, branding each other with their logo, wandering about naked in public, chasing girls and visiting porn shops when they don't catch them. The Wild Hearts was an official selection at the 2009 Hot Docs International Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi
