Movie Info

A group of Cheapskate Car Rental clerks attempt to fend off the legions of the living dead in this ghoulish romantic comedy from writer/producer/editor/cinematographer/composer/visual effects artist/director Mark E. Poole. A highly contagious disease is sweeping the globe and turning normal people into flesh eating ghouls, yet all seems normal over at Cheapskate Car Rental. Though ignorance may be bliss, this clueless group of clerks are about to discover just how nigh the apocalypse really is when an infected man comes walking through their door and coughs up blood on the counter. Somewhere between dealing with discontent customers, reconciling his relationship with his brother, contending with his unstable ex, and dealing with the "pants issue," hapless counter boy Jim will have to contend with the fact that armies of the undead are marauding in the streets and looking for some fresh flesh to feast on. Will Jim be able to rally the local bikers in time to exterminate a threat from beyond the grave, or will dealing with the undead take a backseat to his pressing personal issues.

Audience Reviews for Dead Moon Rising

½

Dead Moon Rising tries so hard to be a big scale Zombie movie, equipped with mass amounts of people in make-up and a unique story to boot, but if I can visibly tell that this film was made for so little, it almost throws me out of it, which is a shame. Dead Moon Rising had such a unique story to it and a way of telling a mass zombie takeover that you stick with it. Even some of the jokes are fun and incited a few giggles from me, but just watching it made me cringe. Hopefully, if they do follow through with a supposed sequel, they will up the budget a little because it doesn't cost any money to be imaginative. The filmmakers have already proven they know how to craft a story. They just need to focus on getting that story on film without it looking so god damn awful.

Check it out if you can't get enough of the zombies and comedy formula, but think twice if you've gotten sick of that pairing.
