Dead Cert Reviews
Would of made a good pilot for a crappy UK tv show.
It does try to give another story behind the obvious one of race and xenophobia but its missed in the blood and gore which dont add to the movie and in some parts were even funny.
Not the best vampire movie ever and not the best story.
Ex EastEnders 'stars' Craig Fairbrass and Billy Murray (who directs too) feature in this recognisable and let's say less credible Brit cast, in a laughable Vampire romp.
It starts off looking like a Rise of the Footsoldier / Football Factory cast attempting a darker Brit film, but this spirals into absurdity later on â" enter the Vampires! There are the usual basic dialogue and action scenes, featuring cockney geezers and 'lumps' â" giving this a geezer flick feel. The story resolves around an ex-fighter opening a club and then a Romanian Gangster enters, challenging him to a gang boxing match, with his new club on the line. It then all goes a bit weird.
The acting is wooden, and all a bit effortless but the film is ambitious, even if this is more suited to a TV movie. Unique and really only enjoyable for the cast fans only wanting an easy, non-taxing watch. A 'wrong-un' for most.
