Movie Info

Peeping Tom director Yoshihiro Fukagawa takes a lighter approach in this romantic drama inspired by real-life love letters--86,441 of them to be exact. The impetus for this deluge was a mail-art project entitled "Love Letters at Sixty," in which couples were encouraged to exchange letters expressing their affections. Taking prompts from the stories therein, Dear My Love follows a cross-section of Japanese couples in advancing years, exploring the quiet and sometimes passionate romances experienced by a single parent, a spouse battling illness, and a divorcee rediscovering love, among others. ~ Robert Silva, Rovi
