In 2003, documentarian James Miller began filming Palestinian children but was killed by an Israeli soldier before he could finish the project. Assembled from footage shot before his death, this film follows three children in the Gaza Strip city of Rafah. Twelve-year-old friends Ahmed and Mohammed, many of whose friends have been killed by Israeli forces, dream about martyrdom, while 16-year-old Najla has also lost many of her relatives. All three talk about their lives and hatred of Israel.

Like no other documentary I’ve seen, this captures the hatred, anguish, and privation that fuel the intifada. Go to Full Review

06/16/2012 a very important movie! to understand the way human beings act when the'ye threatened and oppressed. and it teared me apart. See more 08/01/2011 I cried my eyes out in the first 8 minutes. for most of the film, I couldn't stop crying, I had to actually fight my self. It was devastating. I don't know if the scenes related to Jame's death were actually documentary or fake, but it was moving. It was one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. See more 03/17/2010 Very good documentary on children growing up in Palestine, and the reality of living in a modern guerrilla war. Unfortunately lent additional tragedy when the creator/director is shot dead by Israeli forces. Still very well done with minimal politicking on the film makers part, but unable to represent the Israeli side as the shooting took place before they were able to start that portion. See more 12/21/2009 The best documentary i've seen in a while. Breathtaking and shocking. Stop reading this review and go see 'Death in Gaza'.
