Movie Info

DELIVERY: THE BEAST WITHIN tells the story of Kyle and Rachel Massy, a young couple who agree to document their first pregnancy for a family-oriented reality show. As the camera continues to capture strange events, Rachel begins to believe that a malevolent spirit has possessed their unborn child. Told through the show's un-aired footage and interviews with friends, family and production members, this savvy debut feature leverages the voyeuristic properties of reality television to present a fresh perspective on classic horror themes of possession and the paranormal-- and delivers enough eeriness to keep you on the edge of your seat. Director Brian Netto and co-writer Adam Schindler have taken the taken both the found footage and reality show genres, and mashed them into one very scary and very entertaining homage to Rosemary's Baby.

Delivery: The Beast Within plays out like a fireworks display that hopes you'll only remember the grand finale, and not the preceding hour's worth of uneventful build-up material that you're forced to sit through.

...both Vail and Barclay give compelling performances. They are very convincing and sympathetic which made for an effective emotional anchor to the film. Basically I gave a crap about what happened to them.

JoBlo's Movie Emporium

A smart, calm horror flick that borrows from a few classics but also marks some territory of its own.

A horror movie can be many things, but one thing it should never, ever be is tedious.

Audience Reviews for Delivery: The Beast Within

Completely underrated. For the "found footage" genre, the reality show conceit is a great one. So creepy in a "Lake Mungo" sort of way. Really enjoyed it. I think it's far superior to "Devil's Due."

I liked it. It was the movie that made me realize that I like the "Found Footage" Horror Genre more than I thought as long as it's entertaining, has a personal creative twist within the interpretation of the template, and (as with most movies) provide actors & performances I care about at some level and am invested in their outcome....And goddamnit, Delivery: The Beast Within fulfilled those quotas and left me a pretty satisfied viewer. Good Casting, I was in from beginning to end. Good Job. Bravo!

Just avoid it. There are better horror movies out there. There's nothing interesting about this other than the way it was presented (tv show).
