Der Bunker Reviews

  • Dec 21, 2016

A student looks after a place to rent somewhere far away from the noisy city. He visits a isolated small house and finds it nice enough to rent it. The renters are a weird couple and as they introduce their even weirder "kid" that they home-school in a bunker, things turn really weird. Bizarre with a very unplesant child and parent relationship and other weird happenings. There are many elements here, many of them are unexplained, still the story never bore you or leave you hanging. It's at constant development, even with the minimal cast. It's like Alex van Warmerdam remade "Bad Boy Bobby" and spiced it up. Quirky and odd German film, but never much more. If you like odd films you can give it a go, but there's still no guarantee that you will like this debut. 5.5 out of 10 canes.

It casts a nice atmosphere. But Nikias Chryssos did the film to just test his abilities and even him does not know what was the film about. It's a nice toy.
