Self-conscious artistry, exquisite industrial landscapes, but like most propaganda ('scuse me, Leni Riefenstahl), BORING.
Dark and depressing.
I don't think this beats the other films by Pudovkin but this film was quite fascinating, an ending that was abrupt and overall, a pretty brilliant film that is not his best, but his worst owns most people's best.
