Die Vermessung der Welt (Measuring the World) Reviews
The problem is that, plotting their different lives, leads to a very uneven film. At least according to the movie, they met once briefly as kids, and then again as old men, so squeezing these two together into one story comes across as very forced. Even their areas of expertise are totally different, and, while we are told Gauss was a genius, it is not altogether very clear what impact he had because there's very little context.
The subject matter would be better handled as a documentary - or, even better, two.
