Apparently the film, a soundtrack, and a second soundtrack were just not enough for some people. We needed a live tour too as The Contours and Merry Clayton are dusted off to squeeze one last cash grab from the hit movie. Sure, maybe Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey weren't there and the background dancing was distracting at times but they played all the hits. The real winners here were the audience, who individually had "the time of their life" judging by the standing ovation they gave this performance at the end.

Dirty Dancing goes live on stage for 90 minutes of 'you-are-there' fun featuring many contributors to the soundtrack including Bill Medley and Eric Carmen; but predictably not featuring its star Patrick Swayze. Show toured in 90 cities over the course of three months. A total cash-in on the film's success which goes so far as to feature The Contours performing their numbers from another of the film's cash-ins--the soundtrack of "More Dirty Dancing".

The DVD was not very clear and was a poor copy of the VHF version.
