A young boy looking to escape the day-to-day drudgery of his soul-sucking summer job finds out just how rewarding a little hard work can be in this pavement-surfing coming of age /drama featuring real-life thrashers Tony Alva, Ryan Shcekler, and Andy MacDonald. Kevin was sick and tired of busting his back to make a buck in the summer heat. Upon learning that an extreme Summer Camp is looking to assemble a competent kitchen crew, Kevin applies for the job thinking just how much fun it will be spending his down time on the half-pipe. While the heat in the kitchen is searing, however, it can't hold a candle to the infernal competition to be the best half-pipe skater in the whole camp. Now, with both his reputation and the affections of the prettiest girl around (Haylie Duff) on the line, this sudsy skater will team up with the dish-scrubbing street sharks known as the Dishdogz to take part in the air-grabbing competition to be the best skater in the whole camp. But there are plenty of dishes to be washed before the fun starts, and as Kevin contends with his temperamental new boss Tony (Luke Perry) an old school secret is revealed that could still hold relevant for the newest generation of skaters.
