Trying to encourage people to find underground providers when there is so much manipulation and outright abuse, not least by the self-promotors, is insane. I'm telling everyone I know this doc is a must see, after viewing it this past week!! Dosed is a film that challenges assumptions & encouraged me to take the therapeutic use of magic mushrooms to the next level. I was very emotional throughout … crying for those I've loved & cared for through their end of life, who unlike Laurie & Glenn & their 4 kids did not have the option of such a caring, compassionate, wrap around team. We simply must continue to explore non traditional ways of assisting us deal with trauma, as well as end of life preparation. It's inevitable for all of us, but we are surely not ready in any way. See more Michelle S 04/30/2023 Loved it! Not sure if it is in theatre's yet as this was a premiere experience in our town. The true title is Dosed -the trip of a lifetime but it is the second Dosed movie by the same folks. Don't be put off by the trailer for Dosed 1 it followed a different transformation story of addiction assistance. Dosed 2 was very deep, heartfelt follow of a different person altogether. However the topics are so needed to educate people regarding use of psychedelic medicine for depression and anxiety associated with receiving the news of terminal diagnosis. This is a true story of an ordinary 53 yo woman whom gets the opportunity to trial, legally, use of plant medicine in her journey. Please please see it if it shows up in your town. My experience at our local theater was also followed by a live in person Q&A of leaders in this research and the status of various psychedelic medicines , research and legal status. Absolutely brilliant. Gives me hope us humans might get it right after all!
