Never does Down by Love, handsome and fully crafted, have the feel of being a filmed play. It emerges as a fresh, challenging and unpredictable experience with a stunning finish.

[Kovács] gives a virtuoso performance, one that calls to mind the fraught sensuality of Catherine Deneuve in Repulsion and the steely innocence of Audrey Hepburn in Wait Until Dark.

Audience Reviews for Down by Love

½

(Basically) One character, one scene setting, a progressive narrative in 90 minutes. A very daring experiment as long as you don't feel dull.
