Good potential with the crazy doctor, but it turns into just another slasher movie. The cop breaking up the party is the best scene.

Dr. Giggles feels more like a formula for box office grosses than a prescription for terror. It's also clearly in need of a laugh-support system.

I'm not saying Dr. Giggles is a cinematic watershed or anything like that, but it does manage to mix humor and horror in a way that very few films ever manage successfully.

Gore fans -- and no one else -- may get something out of Dr. Giggles, which is every bit as sophomoric as the TV ads make it appear, and a lot more gore-filled than the audience can possibly anticipate.
