When you have no budget and want to film a fantasy film this is what you get. At least they used actors with real accents

Leigh Scott's Dragon. (2007) "There is a biiiig dragon there. I see it...up there. BIG!" I hate it when you send your movie to the PhotoMat and it comes back like this! Did I use too much flash bulb on this?!! On my way home from jury dury friday (they didn't pick me) I stopped in at walfart and bought a stack of cheap DVDs. Paid a dollar for this so I didn't expect much...good thing. The DVD was flawed (returning it for exchange) and that matches the material. The acting is substandard and the whole thing is talky. I mean, these bad actors will pause when there's no cheesy action and begin yapping endlessly about things I really didn't care much about. I think a good set of actors could've made it worth listening too but these here actors don't have the ability. Sure, it's a low budget cheapy but that doesn't hide that fact that it isn't much fun to listen too. Buy a Jumbo size Snickers bar instead. The special effects guy could've bought everyone in the cast a Snickers instead of producing the effects. 5/10 My Cousin Vinny. (1992) Look out Herman, here comes them there city folk! This one copy has been swimming around in the bargain bin for months. I'd watched that episode of Seinfeld that features that actress, went to get the film weeks ago and couldn't find it (didn't feel like going to the hardware department for a shovel that time) but by chance, on the way home from jury duty, there it was! I have to say I'd forgotten how fitfully funny this is. Tomey and Pesci are an absolute joy. And Fred Gwynne is beyond Herman in this. A fine actor, God bless em! All and all this is worth owning. The DVD has one flaw though, that cheesy tune that plays during the menu. What the hell is that? They had their choice of tunes on the soundtrack and they went with "Hope you're enjoying your shopping experience at K-Mart" background music? Anyway, just typing all this makes me want to watch it again already. I'll wait though. 8/10
