Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' Reviews

this movie has a lot of problems in my opinion, the freeza getting too strong from nowhere and still being ridiculed by others, lack of explanation in some scenes, has a very bad CGI and a lack of a better done climax and etc, but it is It is impressive how, despite everything, the film manages to entertain you a lot and make you happy with its charismatic characters.

With beautiful animation, excellent voice acting, a good direction by Tadayoshi Yamamuro, a great script by Akira Toriyama, an exciting soundtrack by Norihito Sumitomo, thrilling action scenes, frantic pacing, even more charismatic characters and consistent humor, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' is a very entertaining film and a full plate for fans of this beloved franchise

It was good but literally did nothing for the serious except introduce Golden Frieza and Super saiyan blue. Which they didn't even really make it special it's not memorable when he got it. It would have been better if he got it battling hit. Plus Frieza is resurrected then he dies in the end so i mean it was sorta usless

This movie is solid. I remember growing up with DragonBall Z and Frieza was the first real villain I saw in the series. His transformations were epic and each one was given ample time on the screen. This movie was great in the sense that it brought back a familiar face in Frieza. The intrigue of having him come back from hell was an enticing hook for me. The movie was solid but I felt like Frieza was simply brushed off. Maybe he simply wasn't on the level of Goku and Vegeta and this was a way of giving him another proper send off while giving his character some well deserved respect. Not everyone gets to come back from the dead in Dragon Ball lore. He was brought back but he didn't live up to the expectations of his fellow crew or those on earth. Goku and Vegeta were simply better than him. I didn't mind them portraying Frieza in a less than stellar light. After all, it seems like this was simply a way to bring him back, a character that is a staple of the series, but to demonstrate that his time as a top villain is up. I liked the inclusion of Beerus because he provides some comedic relief to the tension. At first I was critical of his involvement because I felt like it diluted the seriousness of the action. But then you realize he's a god and is above the quarrel between Goku/Vegeta and Frieza. He's simply a higher being overlooking the action been inferior beings. It makes sense, but I think I'd prefer him not to be involved in major disputes. The stakes don't seem higher when Beerus is watching the action while cracking jokes and consuming food. That's just me. Overall, this is a solid film and I would recommend. Lots of nostalgia and great action scenes.

I am a total big fan of Dragon Ball Z, unlike the god-awful Evolution. But this one takes it to the next level of animation. RESURRECTION "F" is one of my favorite Dragon Ball Z movies that follows up with Battle of God.

Love the movie except the ending, it would be so awsome to finally see Vegeta take his revenge

As a lifetime dragon ball Z fan it hurts me to give this such a low rating. I get the humor that’s normally in these movies but there was just so much it made the film so corny and unserious. Even having characters joke about ice cream during the climatic end right? Really? Frieza has been my favorite ever since I was a little kid. His new “gold” transformation was a step in the wrong direction in my opinion, the thing that makes him so cool is his sleek white form and this changes the whole color palet. If you make a new transformation at least stick with his famous theme. The only redeeming quality was what they were doing with Vegeta in the end finally giving him some type of power and sense of well earned revenge and the spotlight but they ended up absolutely ruining that too in the last minutes of the movie. Ending was absolutely terrible, I am beyond disappointed
