Finally a romantic comedy I really enjoyed! Lau Ching-Wan and Gigi Leung are perfectly cast in Driving Miss Wealthy, a film that comes with an impressive pedigree. Writers James Yuen and Jessica Fong co-wrote award-winning drama Lost in Time, which was directed by Driving Miss Wealthy producer Derek Yee. But this time Derek Yee is not the director - his pal James Yuen did a wonderful job. It is very amusing, a little bit formulaic but never boring. Jennifer is unbelievably quirky and there are numerous situations designed to facilitate and/or hinder the lead actors' eventual union. The writers don't disappoint in that department, as Driving Miss Wealthy is loaded down with quirks and just plain strange stuff that's certainly funny and entertaining.

Lau Ching-Wan is Kit, an ex-cop who's looking to earn some money and his ex-boss Hui Siu-Hung sends him to be a bodyguard for reclusive tycoon Feng Kwok-Lap (Chow Chung). Kit manages to make it through the rigorous screening process, but it turns out the assignment is not to bodyguard Mr. Feng. Instead, he's supposed to watch over Feng's daughter Jennifer (Gigi Leung).

While that sounds easy, the result is surprising... enjoy watching it!

It is very funny...! haha! Gigi like to spend extravagantly. She can spend a lot of money every day. Her dad can't bear her and hire an ex-cop to help his daughter. Her dad cheated Gigi he was sicked and Gigi need to survived on her own in an old community crushed with shabby housing.Qing Wan pretended a Filipino driver. He was so cute as a Filipino driver haha...Finally Gigi know it is very hard to make money. she know how to treasure the money and prevent to spend extravagantly again....

Can a man loves you that much and willing to become a maid for you?

Simply sweet and silly, this movie is a lot of fun. Then English subtitles are abysmal, but the charisma of the actors, particularly of "Mario" more than make up for any issues with translation.

You could better but you could also do a lot worse. Another formulaic romantic comedy coming out of HK with some star power behind it. Lau Ching-wan does a good job as Gigi's driver/bodyguard with his usual wacky acting style. Some funny situational comedy with "Mario" being a Filipino servant and speaking broken Cantonese. However, the remainder of the movie does nothing new. At least the ending was realistic and not as manufactured as it could have been.

Mindless farce, pity the acting is so overdone

some critics might attribute this role as part of ching wan's "decline" but i disagree. he is the MOST underrated actor who proves extremely versatile. gigi shows she belongs a- nd will become a bigger star in this very funny comedy!! (=

Though HK film always known for its "rubbish", but this little comedy is quite warm. Worth to watch.

Although the faked Filipino accent is a bit stupid, it does make for fun moments.
