Not really a direct sequel. But in the same essence of the previous movie. I expect more fighting kung fu action but its only more satisfying at the ending part. Gordon Liu and William Ho Ka Kui (as Yuan Shikai) meet up with White Lotus gang master Giorgio Pasotti. William has given the jade ring to new wife Michelle Reis and Giorgio want him to get it back. Andy Lau send Michelle to the pickup point. He works in revolution army. Gordon lead the troop to find Michelle and both sides fight. They both escape with injuries, bump into doctor Adam Cheng. Gordon also find Adam for his injury. Andy ask Adam to bring Michelle to a restaurant on a specific date. She pretend to be his wife. Willie Chi is Adam son (Wong Fei-hung) and also know about the secret. Gordon ransack the place to find Michelle and spoil Adam ancestor altar. Willie escort Michelle to the meeting place. They manage to board the bus thanks to Simon Yam. He saw the jade ring and capture her. Willie fight Simon and the bus crash to Liu Chia Liang wine shop. He want her to compensate, she pretend to be pregnant and Willie is her hubby. Liu show him how to defeat Simon. The duo must work to pay up. Willie tell Liu the truth. More people are joining the revolution army. Michelle retreat after seeing the army join them too. Liu teach Willie drunken fist on roof top. Michelle broke the jade ring to half. White Lotus gang attack them. Gordon army arrive and want to throw the children down. Michelle wear half the ring to identify her queen status but its only half. Andy meet Adam and Willie and says the ring broke and its dangerous. White Lotus gang have announce their revival. William find out the ring is broken. *1/2 (out of four)

This might be some people's cup of tea, but not me. While I do enjoy a good martial arts film on occasion. This one fails to be one of those.

Beware. Poor martial arts, bad script, and nothing to do with the first two films.

Mostly random silliness and stupid gayjokes, but with some pretty good fighting scenes inbetween. Always nice to see those damn foreigners get beaten up. Not a breakthrough performance from Michelle Reis, but her stunning looks kinda make up for her shortcomings as a damsel in distress.

Without Jackie Chan in this prequel film, but Andy Lau, Adam Cheng, Willie Chi and Chia Liang Liu are incredible in their martial arts sequences against the villians at the final scenes. And this is so hilarious funny with Michelle Reis who makes plenty of cheeky in her character.
