A sleaze ultra low budget slasher, Easter Bunny Kill! Kill! is just a bit dull till it gets to the actual killing but fortunently it delivers later on. It has a certain awful humor vibe à lá Troma but it just drags for too long, just like the movie.
With the violent rejection characteristic of a memorable case of food poisoning, EBKK lurches among genres and modes. As it bonks bloodily from satire to pastiche, parody to melodrama, one theme resonates throughout Chad Ferrin's morally ambivalent grindhouse future-classic: the insufficiency of generic resolutions and melidramatic characters in a fallen world. With God and Jesus firmly in their graves, our grindhouse heroes are left to protect themselves and work out their own foul salvation. So overstated and masturbatory it goes beyond self parody and dangles its blood-streaked, satiated nethers in the face of propriety. Not for everyone, or more accurately, for anyone.
Gets slow in places, the acting ranges from decent to bearable. Must admit I didn't see the twist coming, so that was nice. Lots of power tool fun!
