Movie Info

London cab driver Tom Manning (Richard Attenborough) becomes the prime suspect when a young girl in his neighborhood is found murdered. Following his arrest, Tom's wife, Jill (Cathy O'Donnell), certain of his innocence, convinces barrister Peter Tanner (Derek Farr) to defend Tom -- even though the prosecuting attorney is Peter's father (Ian Hunter). Soon, an unexpected witness comes forward with powerful, irrefutable testimony against Tom, forcing Peter to investigate those close to the trial.
