Of course, nothing to do with historical reality, but, well, they are cartoons.

This movie is the proof that good intentions aren't enough. They tried to make a Dreamworks/Disney style movie, but fell short.
It's not bad, just clumsy. The animation is good, the cloth and hair animation is amazing, but the criteria to what should be 3D, and what should't seems random.
The soundtrack is a collection of nice music, good themes, but most of the time it completly misses the feel of the scene. Good music, bad soundtrack.
Some parts of the story seem a bit rushed and the final fight... just doesn't feel like a final fight.
In spite of all that, I liked it, and recommend it. Just don't expect much.

Oh, and the color scheme is the worst I've ever seen in an animated feature.

Rather than actually telling the story the filmmakers dress it up with kiddish dialogue and humor with very little action. The animation is not very impressive and they all look like cardboard cutouts. The action or so they call it is actually quite humorous, they get an enemy in a position to kill him and instead they hit him with a rock or something I found my self laughing more than leaning in and watching and getting involved with a story that is not really well known and this movie does not help that but then again I don't know if it's a story that should be told.

Fine rendition of this historical period. Just a little disturbed by the men anatomies. Hopefully we are not as bulk as those drawings or we couldn't wash our ears.
