The title should say Eleventh Hour. This time the filmmakers reintroduce Superman's Krypton backstory, but with a different childhood here on Earth and no mention of the Kents. While Clark and Lois are reporting from Japan, Superman becomes a saboteur against the Axis powers for the Allied powers. Not the most subtle propaganda at all.

The worst of all the Superman shorts. The story isn't that clear, the Super moments are anything but Super and the overall tone of the short is boring. How we passed from something like the first short to THIS?

With a confusing story (related to WWII), Eleventh Hour is probably the worst of all the shorts that were made. Music and sometimes the animation and draws are the only things that are salvageable.

Superman became from a delight idea to a dark and uninspired flick of the World War II from the 40's.

Lois and Clark are for some reason or another are under house arrest in Japan. It is never too clear why they are there during the war...but Superman plays saboteur to the Japs...it is all kinda of mindless war propaganda fluff. Do we really need to get the kids behind the war effort? Mostly this just makes Superman seem like a child, as he plays tricks on the enemy...and that's what they feel like, not sabotage, but tricks. Ain't he a stinker.
