Audience Reviews for Enzo Ferrari

Enzo Ferrari is the most famous name in automotive history. His story is incredible, and he had a passion, dedication to build the fastest and finest race cars the world had ever seen. This made for TV film is quite and tells his impressive story. The cast here do a fine job, and lead actor Sergio Castellitto is well suited for the role of Enzo Ferrari and it's hard to imagine anyone else in the part. The film does have its shortcomings due to the fact that it's a TV production, and it goes for the over ambitious drama, which in my opinion cheapens the story a bit. Nonetheless, the performances and story keep this held together, and the result is an entertaining film, one that any Ferrari fan should enjoy. I personally am a huge Ferrari car enthusiast, and I find them to be some of the most gorgeous cars in the world. This is a film purely for automotive enthusiasts. Although a good film, it has its flaws, one being that it is a low budget film. If the film would be a full blown theatrical release, it would be a far better film, and considering that Enzo Ferrari is such an important figure in the history of automotive history. Another flaw is that it tries to be too dramatic than it needs to be. Maybe, one day Ferrari's story will get the cinema treatment, as it is a story that deserves to be told properly. As it is, it's a film that is good, but leaves a lot to be desired. The performances are good and so is the overall story, but I was left wanting much more out of the film by the time the credits rolled. Still, despite its imperfections it's worth checking out if you're a Ferrari fan.

Super Reviewer

An interesting topic with a not so interesting narrative. Awful unmatched English sync. Sergio Castellitto's portrayal of aged Enzo Ferrari was way much better than what he did for the younger part.
