A very sad, depressing movie that doesn't really go anywhere. Acting is ok and a bit confusing at times. Pretty average.

The story of a white, materialistic suburban couple who become mildly perturbed when their newborn dies of SIDS. Nothing to see here.

I really enjoyed this! I don't understand all the negative reviews I'm seeing. Anyway, Radha Mitchell did a great job a woman who lost her newborn child and is spiraling into a deep depression and madness. It was portrayed very well. That last shot of her on the couch, then fading into white was BRILLIANT! I'm also a hater of shooting cinema on digital/video (except docs) but for this film the look worked for some reason.

I recommend this, but it's definitely not a light subject matter.

When the directing is not getting in the way of the story and the performances it is really quite compelling.

...I mean, it's not terrible. Radha Mitchell is fantastic, and most of the time the movie is good, but sometimes it tries so hard to be "unflinching" in its tragedy that it just comes off desperate, or faintly ridiculous. Shame on them for the car accident; what, SIDS isn't upsetting enough, they needed a neck brace to really bring it on home? And screw the depressing subject matter, Megan Mullally being warm and matronly is the most depressing thing I've ever seen.

Why would people isolate a woman who just got her baby died? Does it make sense? The mood and the shooting style are fine.Worth to try tho.

A promising start for Forster.

A lifetime original movie, directed as a horror film. The ending was was so dumb.

Goes into Bergman's unfathomable horror territory, but in modern America. Where is God?

A really good movie. Dealing with loss and the suffering it brings with it, the movie never goes for cheap sentimental tricks or blunt tear jerkers. Instead, Radha Mitchell delivers a stunning performance, holding the movie on her shoulders. Unsettling, it could have gone wrong so many times. But then comes this last scene where indeed, with a satyrical twist, "everything is put together".

This movie was ok espically for a first film. Watching it now, it is amazing to see how far Marc Forster has come.

Sad twisted film. Never heard of it before except I'm a die hard Megan Mullally fan. Amazing piece of work. Marc Forster is an amazing director.

Eerie and devastating. If only Marc Forster was still this daring.

One of Megan Mullally's best performances!
