Movie Info

A teenager wins an interactive robot that plays shooting games. Soon it starts loading with real ammo and hunting down other kids. This film is a stupid thriller but still manages to be occasionally fun.

Audience Reviews for Evolver

Besides the alternatingly cringeworthy and riotously disruptive screenplay, the most notable thing about this killer robot flick is that John de Lancie (Q from TNG) is in it. Worth watching, worth mocking aloud with friends.

So bad it's good (well, almost). Light, fun thriller with a full on 80's vibe, despite being made in 1995, Evolver is a throwback to the prior decade's killer robot/videogame movies like Chopping Mall and the video game sequence in Nightmares.

57% Prototype, military hardware in the home, I just don't see it happing. I like dumb movies, but this flick, aimed at the Pretendo generation, was just to much. Although I'm sure it was bad ass in 95'. "Target identified, snatch, snatch."-Evolver (William H. Macy)
