Exit the Vamp (1921)

Critic Consensus: No consensus yet.

Movie Info

Exit the Vamp stars the colorfully yclept Fontaine La Rue in the title role as Mrs. Willy Strong. The star of the proceedings, however, is Ethel Clayton, cast as Marion Shipley, the mousy bride of Mrs. Strong's latest victim, John Shipley (T. Roy Barnes). Apprised of hubby's infidelity, Marion sneaks into the vamp's apartment, dims the lights, and disguises herself as Mrs. Strong. Marions husband is duly shamed into faithfulness, while Marion begins to enjoy being a "bad" girl for a change. The "William Boyd" who plays a secondary role in Exit the Vamp is not the later Hopalong Cassidy star.
