Like most people i had stopped watching Steven Seagal films as they got progressively worse this was the end of the road for me .
Seagal looks out of shape and this is an action film in name only. Drivel

Not as good as the sum of its parts.

Exit Wounds' action sequences are somewhat impractical and, though entertaining in a way, cannot salvage the film's sloppily-written story, ineffective chemistry or cheesy dialogue. 2/5

It starts of okay but quickly becomes a parody of itself. This film is like the beginning of the end of his good movies, its like the half way point a nod to his previous films of action to the way he will be going, boring, silly and forgettable.

Another bloated ego trip by the bloated ego himself,Seagal.

This is good with some action. The favourite part of the movie is the fighting sceens. Rapper DMX, Isaiah Washington, Micheal Jai White, Steven Seagal, Anthony Anderson, Bill Duke, Jill Hennessy and Tom Arnold is in this movie. Allstar cast. I seen most of Steven Seagal movies and this is good as most of them. I grew up watching Steven Steagal movie. I give this movie two thumbs up. 4 stars.

The beginning of the end of Steven Seagal's career.

Very forgettable. Also, DMX shouldn't act.

Wow was this a treat. This is one of the best action movies I've watched in a while and it's no coincidence that it was a Steven Segal flick. It's really funny at times and really action packed at others. The cast was great and the movie blended a few together with its own twists. I thought it wouldn't be very good but I was very surprised of how much I liked it. A very good action movie that's HIGHLY underrated. Give it a watch or two.

Action packed and funny at times.

Steven Seagal is a cop who gets sent to a tough district because he is too uncontrollable. He ends up discovering a major crime ring and attempts to stop it. COuld have been better, but doesn't really do anything memorable or interesting. A lot of by the numbers stuff. There was a ton of these movies in the early naughts of Hip Hop stars coming into urban crime movies, most of them were terrible, DMX did not disappoint in that matter.

As far as Steven Seagal films go, this one was pretty good.

Seagal does in predictable fashion what Seagal does in every film and DMX ventures out on a limb with a fairly good acting role.....but what in the name of Cinema were they thinking when choosing Calgary and Toronto as the film locations for a Detroit based Police Action Drama.

Decient action pic that has Steven Seagal and DMX go tag team with a bunch of crooked cops. A near masterpiece by Seagal standards, though this is nothing more then your typical Seagal flick. However there are some stand out peromances by DMX (playing pretty much the same guy he does in every movie), Bruce McGill, Bill Duke, and Anthony Anderson (playing the same guy he always plays). Jill Hennessy is decient but the movie doesn't give her much screen time and Eva Mendes has a cameo. Watch it if your a fan of Seagal or DMX, or action movies, otherwise there are better uses of your time.

The cast stole the show. In fact, there was nothing else to it.

Steven Seagal and DMX. What could possibly go wrong? Moreover, what on Earth has Seagal been eating that he got so heavy? But we hadn't seen the worst out of him yet, unfortunately: His next film starred Ja Rule!

Based upon John Westermann's 1991 book, producer Joel Silver had it optioned for over a decade, but he could never find the right approach, until Steven Seagal and director Andrzej Bartkowiak (Romeo Must Die (2000) and Cradle 2 the Grave (2003)) came on board. It's a very silly action film, which was heavily touted as Seagal's big comeback, but it wasn't, which is a shame, as it does have it's moments, but even they've been seen elsewhere before. After Detroit cop Orin Boyd (Seagal) saves the Vice President of the United States (Christopher Lawford) from a militant group, he's demoted by Captain Frank Daniels (Bruce McGill) all because Boyd disobeyed orders. He's sent to the violent 15th precinct, where internal affairs officer Annette Mulcahy (Jill Hennessy) sends him to an anger management course, which he doesn't want to go to. But, he encounters drug dealer Latrell Walker (DMX) who has been hanging around with Detroit policement, including Sgt. Useldinger (Matthew G. Taylor), but it turns out Walker is a fall guy for the police and their cover-ups, so Boyd decides to put things right. It should have been a good film, but it's very derivative, and not even an over the top Tom Arnold can save the film, even the action sequences look half hearted. Poor Seagal descended into straight to video hell until Machete (2010).

Bad thriller but at least it isn't filled with PG levels of violence.
