Thomas W @Enigma0999 08/13/2024 Climbed a mountain to look at lava lake nothing else happens little is said either. Its all about the struggle of Climbing it and its boring. See more Guillermo S 10/28/2023 Explore: Like of Fire really shows the resiliency, tenacity, and determination of the human spirit to learn more about our beautiful and mysterious planet Earth. The episode follows volcanologist Dr. Emma Nicholson and lead climber Carla Pérez as they embark on a challenging expedition to study a rare lava lake on a remote volcano. But it seems to focus on Dr. Nicholson the most. Which it should. There was a part of the film where she was becoming fatigued scaling the side of the volcano in extreme weather conditions with 60 mph wind. She looked like she was going to be defeated, until her team started to motivate her and encouraged her to keep on going. Then she had one of the best lines in the whole film…"This will not break me!" Loved it. After a few more days of torturing winds and freezing temperatures, they reached the summit and the rim of the volcano. They tried to peek over to get a view with their own eyes of a possible lava lake inside, but were unable to get close enough due to the unstable ground that they were standing on. They had to eventually rely on a drone to get aerial view of the inside of volcano. When we finally got to see the fruit of all their labor, and got to witness the inside of an open volcano, anticipating to witness a lake of molten lava, we were left with a mild dramatic, disappointing, "butt-hole", of the opening with a glowing red-orange light illuminating out of it… That's it… Now, don't get me wrong. it was still a gigantic scientific win to have been able to study what was there. But, as much as the scientist, all try to hide it behind smirks and fixed smiles. You can tell the slight disappointment in their eyes, that it wasn't what they were hoping, and dreaming for.
