Movie Info

The need for privacy takes a back seat to survival instincts when terrorists take control of weaponized, highly mobile security cameras and turn them against the American people. The "Eyeborgs" are everywhere, recording your every move in the name of security, constantly scanning the street for fugitives and criminals. When regular people begin dying under suspicious circumstances, FBI agent Gunner Reynolds (Adrian Paul) begins to suspect that the airtight security system has somehow been breached. Now, the race is on to convince the president to shut down the "Eyeborg" program before the machines manufactured to ensure our security become the harbingers of doom for the entire human race.

Critic Reviews for Eyeborgs

if you can see past the made-for-TV look, the unpolished dialogue and unexceptional performances from a cast of unknowns, it is hard not to be impressed by the sheer ambition on display here - as well as by some decent action and ideas-driven satire.

It's a potentially interesting premise for an ambitious B-movie, which is weak by most big-screen standards but a significant improvement over the hackneyed SyFy originals on DVD.

has an unfortunately schlockly, straight-to-video title that undercuts what is otherwise a smart cautionary tale built on an all-too-believable premise

It's not going to be up for an Academy Award or anything, but Eyeborgs is well worth a, um, look.

Audience Reviews for Eyeborgs

Eyeborgs has never heard of the concept of "subtlety", but manages to remain somewhat intriguing. The poor quality of the CGI & acting as well as the messiness of the plot outweighs the possibilities the core concept alludes to.
