This is a tender and ultimately very sad story. A child mourns for a father who still lives, but whose world views cannot accept her personhood. The rejection is not just of her, however. It also includes her sister. And the relationship of the father with his son, while not severed, is strained and difficult. One must grieve for the lifetimes of love that have been hurt so deeply. It is a tragedy, as the name declares.

If anyone should have been executed, it was Rus Walton. This sort of abuse which leaves a child with life long emotional scarring and the inability to ever accept one's self fully.......EVER!!!! I am not homosexual but been there and done/do this with my mother still at 49 years old. I am from Maine, is it the water?!?
