Fassbinder truly is a name in cinema weather you like his body of work or not...a really driving force in the New German Cinema. The film focuses on key productions & his rapid fire approach to production both on stage & in the film format. This film presents how daring & audacious he was & has propelled me to look deeper into his works..a must see for those wanting to delve into his cinematic world.

Though some may find strange that Hannah Schygulla is only briefly mentioned, this is a very interesting documentary made with love about one of the most important and prolific directors of all time, and it focuses mostly on his fantastic body of work, themes and approach.
