Fighting Hero (1934)

Movie Info

Fighting Hero was one of 19 Tom Tyler westerns made for independent Reliable Pictures over a two-year period. Tyler is cast as an express-company detective who hopes to capture a gang of outlaws. To do this, he pulls the old reliable trick of pretending to be a "Robin Hood"-style crook himself. In this guise, he manages to rescue heroine Renee Borden from a murder charge before hunkering down to the business at hand. Blessed with a generous supply of comedy relief, Fighting Hero is slightly better than most of Tyler's Reliable efforts.
