Movie Info

Finger Man was one of a group of better-than-average Allied Artists crime programmers of the 1950s. Frank Lovejoy plays Casey Martin, a career criminal who is "recruited" much against his will by the FBI. Given a choice between freedom and life imprisonment, Martin agrees to help the feds send crime boss Dutch Becker (Forrest Tucker) to the slammer. His decision ultimately costs the life of his girlfriend, former gangster's moll Gladys Baker (Peggie Castle). Once again, vulture-like supporting actor Timothy Carey steals the film from its so-called stars. Finger Man was scripted by former Republic leading man Warren Douglas.
