Watched this movie when I was 10 and thought the innovation in the movie was inspiring. It's really a great idea. Maybe I need to watch it again!

The film is inane but Rosario Dawson shines and her scenes are the only ones worth watching.

If only the film's budget had approached that of its title, it may have been more watchable. Not that it's not without its indie charms, but it just feels a little sloppy and haphazardly edited.

Even though it is a known fact that this movie was a box office flop, it was surprisingly an enjoyable and inspiring watch.Sadly, it is only a one time great watch. But hey.....who said movies are to be watched over and over again.Once again, majority was a fool.

It's hard to call "The first $20 million is always the hardest" a comedy, because there's not even a little joke that works. Growing absurd with every single scene, this is easily one of the worst and pathetic nerds revenge flicks ever. The most interesting character of the movie (Rosario Dawson's Alisa) has only 10 or 15 minutes on screen and doesn't have anything to do with the main theme, what says a lot about the quality of "The first $20 million...".

Very exciting, uplifting, and inspirational film to see a group of engineers make their dreams come true in Silicon Valley right after the dot-com bubble burst--especially, now as the Valley is struggling after going through the Great Recession. A good entertainer, though some changes that couldn't have been in the novel seem tacky to make it adaptable for Hollywood. The movie gets better as it progresses.
