Movie Info

This PBS program not only documents the creation of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, but also provides the historical context, with information about specific Holocaust victims and survivors. Hosted by actor Ed Asner, one segment of the documentary profiles Yaffa Eliach, a Holocaust survivor from the town of Ejszyski, Poland, who was instrumental in the creation of one of the museum's exhibits. In relation to this, Asner recounts the story of his father and uncle, who were themselves from Ejszyski, and how they escaped the Nazis.
