Audience Reviews for A Force of One

The worst of the early Chuck Norris films. Doesn't feature the entertainment or the plot that made the first two Chuck Norris movies good. However the fight scenes are still decent.

Turn yourself in, Sparky. A narcotics team is struggling to bring down a significant drug cartel. The police chief decides to have them begin taking karate instructions from an expert (played by Chuck Norris). The training comes just in time because a drug dealer has hired an assassin to take down the police force. The police force will work with their new karate expert to bring down the assassin and drug king pin. "Don't call me Charles no more!" Paul Aaron, director of Deadly Force, A Different Story, The Miracle Worker, Untamed Love, Maxie, In Love and War, and Imperial Navy, delivers A Force of One. The storyline for this picture is fairly straightforward and cliché for the genre and era (late 70s/early 80s). The action scenes are just okay and the acting is below par. The cast includes Chuck Norris, Jennifer O'Neill, Ron O'Neal, Pepe Serna, and Clu Gulager. "Somebody that could kill with their bare hands and not leave a mark..." I'm not sure why I was intrigued by this Chuck Norris picture but I found it while flicking through Netflix. This was a disappointing action flick that reminded me a little of the Death Wish movies from this era. This was below average and definitely far from a must see for the genre. Overall, this is another disappointment from Chuck Norris that really isn't worth your time. "They weren't supposed to die." Grade: D

A poorly written, acted and choreographed film that fails to separate itself from the thousands of movies just like it. Only worth watching for the most die hard of Chuck Norris fans.
