I have to say, I enjoyed this quite a bit. (And not just because Dr. Freex is my Flixster bud.) There are numerous flaws such as unpolished acting, lack of sfx budget, and a soundtrack that seems to be fighting the tension. But underneath it all are well developed characters, an engrossing story, and perhaps a few too many intriguing ideas to be explored in such a limited venue. It's damn refreshing that a film fails because its reach exceeds its grasp.
